TVCS organise and attend a number of conferences each year.

Sylvie Hampton together with Lorraine Grothier, a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist from the Mid Essex PCT, are hosting a conference in September 2010 called Prove It. The Prove It conference will bring together a number of experts from the UK to debate the value of RCT's. This is a 2 day independent wound care conference which includes:

• Examining the evidence in wound care and how it informs practice, with presentations by tissue viability experts from across the UK.
• A debate on the types of evidence available and questioning are randomised controlled trials the real gold standard?
